We are excited to announce three regular and one interim Vermont State University leadership hires. Each of these roles is key to the success of the new University and to meeting NECHE’s expectations. We’re thrilled to have these talented leaders join the team.
Irene Irudayam will be serving as Assistant Vice President for Institutional Research and Planning and Chief Data Scientist. She has 16 years of progressive experience as Executive Director for Strategic Enrollment Management, Assistant Vice-President, and Dean for Institutional Research and Assessment at Anna Maria College. She has most recently worked at Brazosport College in Texas as Executive Director for Strategic Enrollment Management and has an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.
Bobbi Jo Carter will be serving as Director of Online Program Administration. She currently serves as the Associate Dean of Distance Education Programs at NVU and has been in this role since 2016 where she has provided oversight of the University’s distance education programs and courses. She has also served as adjunct faculty at NVU since 2017. She holds a Ph.D. in Organization and Management and a M.S. in E-Learning Technology & Administration.
Jennifer Garrett-Ostermiller will be serving as Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning. She is currently working at the University of Vermont’s Center for Teaching & Learning as Senior Educational Developer since 2018. Prior to UVM, she worked at Community College of Vermont’s Winooski location in several roles, including Coordinator of Academic Services and Director of Student Support Services. She also serves as an CCV instructor, both online and face-to-face.
In addition to these three permanent appointments Sara Kinerson has been appointed to the role of Interim Assistant Vice President of Advising and Career Development. She has served in the role of Director of Advising at NVU-Johnson since 2007, and in other student support roles previously. She is also a graduate of NVU and is part of the Advising, Academic Support, ADA transformation sub-team.
