Student Advisory Council

The Student Advisory Council started meeting in the beginning of the Fall 2021 Semester to help guide the work of the Transformation Teams as they worked to design the future of Vermont State University and bring about system-wide administrative consolidation. Student input was essential to ensuring a student-centered approach to how we provide our academic programs, student services, advising, athletics, residence life, and other events and programs. As we contemplated ways to improve the student academic and non-academic experience, we engaged students of both the new Vermont State University (CU, NVU, and VTC) and of the Community College of Vermont to help support this important work.

Now that the new Vermont State University has launched and the new functional leaders and departments are in place, the university is putting in place new ways of engaging with students and student government leaders. With this change, the Student Advisory Council is no longer active. We are maintaining this page, though, to provide access to some of the original materials and notes.
