The Chancellor’s Innovation Fund is a new initiative designed to foster a sense of unity and shared purpose across the system. Faculty and staff at both institutions and Shared Services have the opportunity to self-form teams and propose projects that leverage the breadth of expertise, creativity, and perspectives from across the Vermont State Colleges System.
Be creative. Build new partnerships. Challenge yourself and others to try new approaches to learning, launch new innovative degree or certificate programs, enhance the student experience, or change and improve broken processes to make everyone’s life better.
Priority will be given to projects that address the following areas of collaboration between CCV, VTSU, and Shared Services:
- Developing shared strategies to promote timely degree completion and seamless transfer within the system
- Implementing evidence-based, innovative teaching and learning practices while strengthening faculty relationships across both institutions and campuses
- Fostering applied learning, community engagement, and partnerships that benefit students at both institutions
What’s the Goal?
- Engaged Stakeholders: This fund is for projects that involve faculty, staff, students, and/or community members.
- Collaboration: We’re looking for projects that encourage teamwork between different departments, campuses, and institutions within the Vermont State Colleges System.
- Support for Strategic Goals: Projects should align with our strategic priorities to help us achieve our mission.
What’s the Scope of Projects?
- Funding Limit: Proposals will be considered requesting funding up to $50,000.
- Timeline: Proposals will include a timeline, with projects concluding within one year.
What Is the Application Timeline?
- Proposal Due Date: Friday, April 18, 2025
- Notification of Funding: week of May 15, 2025
- Project Launch: September 2025
